Leading UK Middleware Consultant Provides Integration Managed Service For Scottish Government’s eProcurement Scotland (ePS) Service
London — March 5, 2012 — Integrella, a leading UK business integration consultancy specializing in SOA, BPM, and middleware solutions, is currently involved in the beginning stages of a contract to deliver integration services to the Scottish government’s eProcurement Scotland (ePS) service.
The contract, which formally began in November of 2011, will provide a managed service working with Amor Group, who won a highly competitive four year ?18.5 million contract to deliver increased efficiencies and reduced carbon footprint for ePS, which is now regarded as one of the most comprehensive and successful Public Sector eGovernment initiatives in the world.
Integrella’s managed service and support will provide 61 public sector bodies, which include 37 educational institutions, including universities and colleges; 10 government bodies, including local councils and the Scottish government; and 14 NHS organisations, all with data integration solutions that meet current requirements between their procurement system (PECOS) and back-end Finance systems.
In the early going of the contract, Integrella have identified significant opportunities to improve the service and believe that through centralisation, consolidation and a move to a cloud-based infrastructure, they can reduce the cost of supporting the ePS integration hub while at the same time reducing the project’s carbon footprint and providing a better service to its customers, anticipating a 50% reduction in the number of support calls and resolution times.
