The Integrella Leadership Club — A Community Committed To Excellence in Data Integration
As data integration technologies and best practices continue to gain mainstream application in the business world, it is increasingly important that the community of data integration practitioners maintain the highest levels of service quality, innovation, and effectiveness for organisations seeking to adopt new integration systems. The aim of the Integrella Leadership Club (ILC) is to provide a forum for business and IT practitioners engaged in complex change delivery challenges to share experiences and knowledge, so that the quality and success of data integration remains high.
In addition to facilitating engaging discussion, we also hope that ILC events serve as useful networking opportunities for its members.
ILC’s Inaugural Session: Corporate Disasters & the Role of Data Integration Providers
As integration consultants, we work with many organisations to support delivery of complex end-to-end processing across many countries. Whilst a thorough analysis of current processes and requirements to determine operational risk and performance is required, it has always seemed strange that very few lessons have been learned from the increasing number of well-documented corporate disaster over the last 20 years.
We have seen copious details of segregation of duties, matrix management structures, funding and independent audit functions, but very little in the role that technology — particularly integration programmes — could play in preventing these corporate disasters.
This seminar will draw on the practical experience of an Operations Director involved in one of these disasters and look to offer some simple guidance for integration improvements in this critical area.
